Savannah, GA (8/15/2006) - MerchantSeek.com announced today that it was launching SOVAI, the first payment module that allows merchants to use their existing payment gateway account in a mobile setting without needing any additional equipment or services.
SOVAI is a touch-tone payment processing
service that plugs into existing gateways, enabling the
online merchant to accept payments at trade/craft shows or
on the customer site while the customer is
present.
SOVAI makes life easier for
online/internet merchant that usually accepts credit cards
in an internet or mail order environment but now needs to
accept payments in a card present environment (while the
customer is in front of you). More and more
merchants are both beginning to attend tradeshows/craft
fairs and perform sales on the customer's site.
Before SOVAI this merchant would either need to 1. Use
their existing online account on a laptop requiring
wireless internet access, 2. They would have to call in
the transaction to a live operator then come back later to
complete the sale (this process can be time consuming and
expensive) or 3. They would need to open a completely
different merchant account for mobile transactions.
With SOVAI, these merchants may now keep their existing
online account, create a SOVAI account, create multiple
logins for order processing (in case they have multiple
reps at the same company that would like to accept orders
"on the go") and they may track which user
processed which sale by viewing our online reports.
SOVAI seeks to become the number one resource for
online/mail order merchants that already have a
payment gateway but are simply looking to accept payments
in a mobile setting. Through existing partnerships
and technological developments we will continue to add
gateways to our list of supported options. We will
both look to add gateways proactively and on a per-request
basis.
